The Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology (KSAP),
established in 1992,
is celebrating its 34th anniversary this year in 2026.
The Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology (KSAP), established in 1992, is celebrating its 34th anniversary in 2026. The mission of KSAP is to contribute to the advancement of new drug development in Korea. Since its establishment, the Society has made remarkable progress through its programs and services, supported by the enthusiastic dedication and active participation of its members. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to the growth and success of the Society.
The official journal of KSAP, Biomolecules & Therapeutics, is a well-established international journal that has significantly increased its impact and visibility. In 2024, it achieved an Impact Factor of 3.2, placing it within approximately the top 25% of journals in the field of pharmacology according to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
KSAP serves as an authoritative source of information on new drug discovery and development. Through its symposia and scientific programs, the Society provides advanced knowledge of theories and technologies that address unmet medical needs, fostering collaboration between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. KSAP will continue to cooperate with related societies to promote the exchange of new ideas and concepts in drug discovery and development.
Our Society is facing rapid changes in pharmaceutical biotechnology alongside significant technological advances. In response, KSAP will host two conferences this year to discuss progress and challenges in drug development at both national and international levels.
